Dear Braggers,

When we support one another, we can accomplish just about anything.  Our classes, workshops, exhibits, competitions, and camps-visual and performing arts-are our offerings to you.  How about choosing one or more of the following in support of BRAG?

Sign up for a class or workshop!  Check the list of workshops and the mosaic class on the website www.bragart.org, the monthly newsletter, and the Facebook page.    We have great workshops listed, presented by talented artist instructors in a wide variety of media—colored pencil, oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mosaic.

Pay your dues on time.  For many, membership dues are due in the month of May.  Please try to pay your dues promptly.  Also, I challenge each member to recruit at least one new member for BRAG.  We can double our membership.  Remember, an individual membership is only $30 a year, and you get a discounted rate on classes and workshops, as well as, the BRAG newsletter.

Enroll your children or grandchildren in Summer Art Camp.  Carolyn Moseley, director of the Summer Art Camp this year has planned five weeks of classes--6 to 7 classes each week.  Along with classes in visual arts, we now have Performing Arts Classes directed by Martha Lynch.  The camp just gets better each year!  All the classes are listed on the BRAG website with a description and the instructor for each class.  Registration has begun for children 4 years and up.  Call the office to sign up your children and grandchildren.  Register early, because classes fill up fast.

Volunteer.  If you have a few hours a week, volunteer to help as a receptionist by answering the phone, signing up students for workshops and art camp, and greeting visitors.  Desk helpers receive credit for time worked that can be used toward class tuition, when classes make.

Donate.  Any donation made to BRAG is tax deductable.  You can donate to the High School Scholarship Fund to help young artist with college tuition.  Donate to the Juried Show and have an award named for a loved one.  Give a donation to help support Summer Art Camp.  Donate to the general fund to help with operating expenses.  Any donation to BRAG supports the arts community in our area.

I hope that, if you haven’t been to BRAG lately, you will come by for a visit.  We are open Monday through Thursday from 9am till 4pm and on Friday from 10am till 2pm.

Sincerely,

Marilyn Ammons

President BRAG
